Welcome!

I’m so glad that you’re here.

Cal Bartolone, MSW (they/them)

The term “radically genuine” originates from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and reasonates with me both personally and professionally. I believe that a radically genuine therapist isn’t afraid to show up as themselves in the therapeutic space, and demonstrates true authenticity with clients. I don’t take myself too seriously and I find pride in expressing my personality, human-ness, and sense of humor while simultaneously modeling appropriate levels of professionalism in session.

The whole reason why I got into this work was so that I could strive to meet clients who may feel mistrustful and hesitant about seeking mental health services for valid reasons with a trauma informed approach that is collaborative and respectful of their identity.

I’ll likely ask you about how various systems of oppression have impacted you and your mental health. I value understanding the connections between people’s physical, mental, social, and environmental health in order to provide effective behavioral health assessment and treatment.

I graduated from Illinois State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minors in Women’s and Gender Studies and Sociology. I was then introduced to social work, and I graduated with my master’s in social work from University of Illinois in 2023.

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in the state of Washington (61441076) since July 2023. As a therapist with an associate license, I receive clinical supervision from Carrie Pope, LICSW (60640903).
